nesses dias que se passaram aproveitei para atualizar o kernel do meu gentoo para o 2.6.24-r2, tudo normal menos o som que parou de funcionar!

O Windows não consegue mostrar o controle do volume na barra de tarefas porque o programa ‘Controlo do volume’ ainda não foi instalado. Para o instalar utilize ‘Adicionar/remover programas’ no ‘Painel de controle’.

Primeiro coloque o cd-rom do windows xp no drive, abra o prompt de comando, em seguida entre do drive de cd, depois na pasta i386, e execute o comando: “expand sndvol32.ex_ system_root\system32\sndvol32.exe”

exemplo:

d:
cd i386
expand sndvol32.ex_ system_root\system32\sndvol32.exe

caso você não tenha o cd do windows XP, você pode baixar o sndvol32.exe clicando aqui!

em seguida é só descompactar para a pasta %systemroot%\system32\
